Ring 1 – In Hand 8.30am

 

Class 1    BROOD MARE  - with or without foal at foot

Class 2     FOAL - weaned or un-weaned

Class 3     YOUNG STOCK – 3 years & under

Class 4     MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND – incl.          Shetlands excluding Welsh

Class 5     PURE BRED WELSH - in hand, any age

Class 6     PART BRED WELSH – in hand, any age

Class7    YOUNG HANDLERS – handler 12 yrs & under

Class 8    BEST CONDITIONED – 13.2hh & under, rosette to highest placed Young stock

Class 9    BEST CONDITIONED – over13.2hh, rosette to highest placed Young stock

Class10    COLOURED/SPOTTED – in hand, any age (excluding Palomino)

Class 11    SHOWING IN HAND – any age, any height

Class 12    PURE, PART, BRED & ANGLO ARAB

Class 13    VETERANS – in hand, Age 16yrs and over

 

Ring 1 – Ridden to start not before 1.30pm

 

Class 14           LEAD REIN - Pony not exceeding12.2hh, Rider 8years & under Snaffle bridle only

Class 15           FIRST RIDDEN PONY  - 13.2hh & under, Rider 11 years and under Snaffle bridle only

Class 16           RIDDEN COLOURED/SPOTTED – (excluding palomino)

Class 17           RIDDEN PURE/PART BRED ARAB

Class 18           NOVICE RIDDEN SHOWING – horse / pony not to have won 1st rosette in any ridden showing by the 1st Jan 07, snaffle bridle only

Class 19           OPEN RIDDEN SHOWING

Class 20           RIDDEN HUNTER – over 15hh

Class 21           SHOW HUNTER PONY – not exceeding 15hh

Class 22           RIDDEN VETERAN – horse / pony age 16 years & over

Class 23           RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND – to be shown in natural state, horse / pony any height, rider any age (no spurs)

Championship in each ring, (champ. & res. Sashes). Trophy to each class winner.

Rosettes to fourth place.

Accrington & District Riding Club Rules

1.                    The Judges decision is final.

2.                    Any objection must be submitted in writing to stewards within fifteen minutes of the end of the class, and must be accompanied by a deposit of £10.00, which will be returned if the objection is upheld by the judge, steward and committee.

3.                    Queries must be made to the Secretary's Office only.

4.                    All riders must wear PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR, correct clothing and suitable footwear.  BRITISH STANDARD RIDING HATS NUMBERS PAS015 AND EN1384 ARE COMPULSORY IN ALL RIDDEN CLASSES.  CHINSTRAPS MUST BE FASTENED.

5.                    Where ages are applicable they will be taken from 1st January 2007

6.                    In the case of insufficient entries classes may be combined or cancelled.

7.                    The committee and Croft Top accepts no responsibility of liability in consequence of the loss or damage to any horse, rider, spectator, vehicle or any other property. A responsible adult must supervise children at all times.

8.                    The committee reserves the right to refuse entry of any horse/pony.

9.                    No cantering will be permitted on land outside the showrings except when in taking a practice fence or using the riding-in area.

10.                 No horse or pony under the age of 4 years may be ridden on the show ground or in any ridden classes.

11.                 It is responsibility of the competitors to be present in the appropriate ring for the commencement of a class.  Entry fees cannot be refunded due to unpunctuality.

12.                 Youngstock handlers must be competent to handle the same at the judge's discretion.

13.                 Stallions may compete providing that the rider or handler, in the opinion of the committee and judges, is fully competent of controlling him and is over the age of 18 years.

14.                 Committee may refuse entry of any horse if it is not handled correctly, and any horse considered dangerous will be asked to leave the show.

15.                 Only senior competitors are allowed to wear spurs in appropriate classes.
