RING 1        IN – HAND CLASSES Starting at 9.30 am

 

 

 

Class 1            BROOD MARE – July / August / Sept. Shows only.

 

Class 2            FOAL – July / August / Sept. Shows only.

 

Class 3            YEARLING - Colt, Filly or Gelding born 2009.

 

Class 4            YOUNGSTOCK - Two and Three year old Colt, Filly or Gelding.

 

Class 5            SHOW HUNTER – Any age

 

Class 6            OPEN MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND (Excluding Welsh) any height or age, plaited or unplaited.

 

Class 7            SHETLAND

 

Class 8            YOUNG HANDLERS - handlers 12 years and under.  (Colts and Stallions not allowed in this class).

 

Class 9*           PURE BRED WELSH Sections A & B  Any age.

 

Class 10          PURE BRED WELSH Sections C & D Any age.

 

Class 11          PART BRED WELSH   Any age.

 

Class 12          BEST CONDITIONED  - 3 years and under.

 

Class 13          BEST CONDITIONED  - 4 years and over - 13.2hh and under.

 

Class 14          BEST CONDITIONED - 4 years and over - over 13.2 hh


 

Class 15          COLOURED/SPOTTED Any age (Excluding Palomino).

 

Class 16          OPEN SHOWING - Any age, any height.

 

Class 17          PURE, & PART BRED ARAB  Any age, any height.

 

Class 18          VETERANS  Age 16 years and over.

 

RING 2        WORKING HUNTER CLASSES

 Starting at 10.00 am

 

Class 19                 NOVICE  HORSE or PONY not to have won 1st Rosette in any working hunter class by the 01/01/10  (Snaffle Bridles only). Jumps max 70cm.                                                          

 

Class 20                OPEN HORSE height exceeding 15hh. Jumps min 1 metre.

 

Class 21                OPEN PONY exceeding 14hh not to exceed 15hh. Jumps min 90cm.

 

Class 22                MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND Any height.  (To be shown in natural state). Jumps min 75cm.

 

Class 23                OPEN PONY height not to exceed 14hh. Jumps min 75cm.

 

Class 24                NURSERY STAKES PONY not to exceed 13hh. Max 2’3” (70cm) .Rider 12years and under.

 

Class 25                RIDING CLUB HORSE / PONY  (Snaffle bridles only). To jump 1 small jump

 

 

RING 3        EQUITATION Starting at 11.30 am

                                     SNAFFLE BRIDLES / NO SPURS IN ALL EQUITATION CLASSES

                       

Class 26                JUNIOR NOVICE  (Rider not to have won 1st Rosette by 01/01/10).

 

Class 27           SENIOR NOVICE (Rider not to have won 1st Rosette by 01/01/10).

 

Class 28                LEAD REIN  - Rider age 8 years or under (rider not to enter class 29).

 

Class 29                BEGINNERS  - Rider age 12 years and under. (canter not compulsory).

 

Class 30                JUNIOR  - Rider 13 - 15 years.

 

Class 31                INTERMEDIATE  - Rider 16 - 20 years.

 

Class 32           SENIOR - Rider 21 years and over.

 

** Please note that although we allow Wilkie snaffles in equitation classes some judges may mark you down for their use

 

RING 4        RIDDEN SHOWING Starting at 9.30 am

 

Class 33           BEST TURNED OUT - Horse/Pony & Rider.

 

Class 34           COMBINED LEAD REIN open (Pony not exceeding 12.2hh) Rider 9 years and under.  Snaffle bridle only. (Class open to show pony and mountain & moorland exhibits).

 

Class 35           PURE / PART BRED ARAB

 

Class 36           FIRST RIDDEN PONY 12.2hh and under.

                        (Rider 10 years and under).  Snaffle bridle only.

 

Class 37           COLOURED / SPOTTED (excluding Palomino)

 

Class 38           NOVICE SHOWING -14.2hh and under. Pony not to have won 1st rosette in any ridden showing by 1/1/10 Snaffle bridle only.

 

Class 39           NOVICE SHOWING -over 14.2hh Horse / Pony not to have won 1st rosette in any ridden showing by 1/1/10 Snaffle bridle only.

 

Class 40           OPEN SHOWING -14.2hh and under.

 

Class 41           HUNTER - over 15hh

 

Class 42           SHOW HUNTER PONY - not exceeding 15hh.

 

Class 43           OPEN SHOWING -over 14.2hh.

 

Class 44           VETERAN - Horse / Pony age 16 years and over.

 

Class 45           RIDDEN COB. – Need not be hogged.

 

Class 46           MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND SMALL BREEDS. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A & B. (To be shown in natural state).  Rider any age. No spurs.

 

Class 47           MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND LARGE BREEDS, Connemara, Dales, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Welsh C & D.     (To be shown in natural state).  Rider any age. No spurs.

 

 

 

RING 5        SHOW JUMPING CLASSES Starting at 9.30 am

 

TRIAL JUMPING (One Round).  Clear round rosette.

                        (Pay at ringside). – Closes at 10.00am.

 

 

Class 48           BEGINNERS JUMPING – competitors cannot enter any other show jumping class that day (classes 49 – 55)

 

Class 49           JUNIOR NOVICE.  Rider under 17 years.  (Horse not to have won £30 in any jumping competition.)

 

Class 50           13.2hh AND UNDER

 

Class 51           EXCEEDING 13.2hh – NOT EXCEEDING 14.2hh.

 

Class 52           JUNIOR OPEN.

 

Class 53           SENIOR NOVICE

                        (Horse not to have won £30 in any jumping competition).

 

Class 54           HORSE over 14.2hh.

 

Class 55           SENIOR OPEN.

 

RING 6        HANDY PONY CLASSES

FROM 11.30 am TO 12.30 pm

 

(PLEASE NOTE PONY / HORSE MAY ONLY ENTER ONE CLASS)

 

Class 56           LEAD REIN  (Rider 8 Years and Under)

 

Class 57           Rider under 14 years.

 

Class 58           Rider 14 years and over.

 

NOVELTY & GAMES CLASSES

RING AND TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED ON THE DAY

 

Class 201,202,203,204 - NOVELTY CLASSES to be decided on the day. Members points for all four

                        Classes go towards Championship Trophy.             

                                Pony / Horse must be lead not ridden.

Class 211,212 - GAMES CLASSES to be decided on the day.

£2.50 per entry. 

                       

 

 

 

 

 

 

Presentation Night

 

Saturday, November 20th November  - ACCRINGTON TOWN HALL

 

 

First Aid.

 

At each show an individual is present, on site, who is qualified to provide first aid.

 

The duties of the first aider are:

  • To provide immediate care to injuries where possible.
  • To give advice on further medical treatment where necessary.
  • To initiate an emergency “999” call.

 

Please note that due to the potential diversity of events, the first aider may not be equipped – or have resources – to treat all injuries or accidents.  In these cases, the first aider will endeavour to advise on further management and refer to other health professionals, as appropriate.

The junior committee has decided that this year’s charity will be the World Horse Welfare and all profits from the Young Handlers class will be donated to this charity
